Service Relationship Disclosure
How customer inquiries, work agreements, and any referral relationship should be explained.
Know who is responsible for the work
Before accepting an estimate, confirm the business named in the work agreement, who will perform the service, who receives payment, and who handles questions after the job. Those details should be clear even when a customer-facing brand is used.
If an inquiry is referred
If another provider will receive or perform the job, that relationship should be explained before personal details are transferred or work is scheduled. Ask which company controls the estimate, service terms, privacy practices, and complaint process.
